DIY Days

So this week and last week I've been working on some more sewing projects. At first I wanted to make things to sell but it's just so hard to give it away because I want it for myself! I feel the same way about my art, I could never sell my paintings because there's always an emotional attachment. Sigh. I think I will end up a starving artist/designer for sure now.

Pandas!!!! i love pandas.

First project: RECONSTRUCT PANDA TEE

It was big and baggy, not its a nice long tshirt. It could even possibly be a short dress for those who dare bare their legs. This one I think I can let go. But then those stupid pandas are pleading me with their big cartoon eyes to keep them. Darn you cute pandas. Darn you.

Second Project: REVAMP CHEESY SWEATER

This used to be a big sweater of my mom's. I loved the cute koalas but not the ugly shape. What to do? Chop chop chop! Now it's a jumper type of thing. I can't let this go either.

Third Project: MAKE USE OF BORING CASHMERE SWEATER

I bought this short sleeved cashmere sweater from the thrift store in one of the bag sales. It was one of those 90's style sweathers where it was cropped. I decided to make a dress with some blue jersey fabric I had. I love it!! I want to wear it in the fall with tights and boots and hats!!! Yes HATS!! Can't wait.
