A Story of the End of my Thrifted Shoes

Once upon a lalaland time there were a pair of thrifted shoes that looked wicked (pun intended) with yellow tights.

They traveled.
and traveled...

and traveled...

and traveled...

and traveled
until they met their untimely demise in the trashcan. Goodbye my sweet shoes. I will miss you so.

Who would have known throwing away shoes could be so symbolic of life. Don't think so? I'm still a little of out of it these days and thinking all deep and philosophically just comes with the package of being out of it.

And before I forget to say this in other posts. I want to give a big warm and joyous thank you to everyone's nice and supportive comments. Why do you guys rock so much? I think it's because when you were a fetus awesomeness nutrients entered your mom's womb and seeped into your tiny bodies. I swear. I learned about this in biology so it's pretty legit. Oh and another thing, if you would like to link exchange just comment in this post. I love links and I haven't had time to look through comments and reply back.

i wish i could just throw allll my clothes away and start from the beginning, i keep hanging onto stuff that i won't wear but can't throw away!
also did you know that in the womb a baby is covered in fuzzy hair and it drops off and it eats it and then when it's born that's it's first poop! true!

oh poor things, it seems like it's been so long since the days of having to throw shoes away. you know, back when you had only one or two pairs of sneaks that you romped around in during primary school? anyway, i'd be happy to linxchange with you! the deed'll be done as soon as i reach a better computer to do so.

the pictures made my shoes look okay but seriously they were literally falling apart. But i really shouldn't expect too much from thrifted shoes. The bottom kept coming apart and it was so embarrassing that i was walking around with this flap underneath my feet. I tried gluing it together like five times but it never worked. then the insides had this flakey black fake leather coming off and it stained my tights and socks. I will miss those poor shoes dearly.

I'm so glad you photographed your shoes. - Are you my secret twin? kindred spirit? - I harbour unnecessary attachents to some of my shoes, saying goodbye to them...it hurts. :) I'm pretty sure I kissed my last favourite pair goodbye.

Anniq said...

well if they were leaving marks on your other clothes..i guess it is in the best interest of all your other great clothes that they not be ruined by something that was already breaking anyways! ahah
